And the snow fun continues…
So we are now at 60+ hours without power at our house but VERY thankful to be able to stay at Nana’s house. The power has popped on tonight for about 45 minutes at a time but nothing consistent. Brian, Bryson, and I checked on the house this morning. When we arrived all the fire alarms were going off and it was 42 degrees. We gathered some more supplies, checked in on the chicken, and filled the bird feeders. I helped Bryson locate the sled discs from our visit to White Sands several summers back. I knew I was keeping them for a future reason! We explored the pond on our lot and found it just about fully frozen. Bryson had fun walking on it!
Bryson had fun playing with the icicles!
We were lucky to find the local Mexican food restaurant open at lunch. This mama was happy to not cook or clean up after a meal!
The boys convinced us to go searching for a hill after trying to sled around Nana’s house was a bust. We found a hill by the middle school and boy did they have fun! Took me back to the days of sledding on the hill behind my parent’s house. Best sled we had back then was a lid off a discarded toilet seat. That thing would fly! So glad that the boys got a sledding experience today!
I even got in on the fun!
No snow experience is complete without a little snow throwing being involved…especially with boys!
I even got them to be still for a few minutes to take a couple of group pics!
